26.9.2005 Porkka out for the rest of the season
Toni Porkka will not play anymore this season. The knee injury that he got in last weeks match against HPK means the end of the season for him. Porkka has torned knee ligaments. In six weeks Porkka will undergo surgery.
26.9.2005 Lukko A defeat against KalPa A
The A-juniors of Lukko have lost their home game against KalPa A on Saturday, 1 - 4 (1-0, 0-1, 0-3). Iiro Junnila scored the only goal for Lukko in the first period. Iiro Tarkki had 29 saves. Lukko received 16 penalty minutes.
26.9.2005 Jäminki try-out finishes
Tommi Jäminki is not staying at Lukko. The winger played five matches for Lukko this season.
26.9.2005 Tuukka Mäkelä 200th match
Lukko defender Tuukka Mäkelä is playing his 200th match on Thursday against Pelicans. The physical defenseman of Lukko played most of his matches in HPK. He played there four years before moving to Lukko.
22.9.2005 Lukko starts up project with Satakunta Polytechnic
Rauman Lukko and the Satakunta Polytechnic are going to start up a project like the program made by Donal Trump, "The Apprentice" in Finland known as "Diili". Two teams of the Polytechnic are going to try to sell as many tickets as possible for the match against JYP on November 24th. The project is also made possible in cooperation with Ganal TV, Uusirauma, Radio Ramona and Länsi-Suomi. These news sources will promote the two groups and their sales organisation. Also Lukko players are going to be involved in this project. The project will start in November, exact dates are not known yet.
22.9.2005 Porkka out with injury
Toni Porkka will not play tonight against SaiPa. In the match against HPK Tuesday he fell out with a knee injury. Today or tomorrow will be known more how serious this injury is.
19.9.2005 A-juniors win first match
The A-juniors of Lukko have won their first match of the season. In Pori against Ässät, Lukko won 5-2. Goals were scored by Marko Virtala (0-1), Joni Piirainen (1-2), Tommi Heinonen (1-3), Petri Lammassaari (1-4) and Mikko Saari (2-5). Goalie Iiro Tarkki had 22 saves.

19.9.2005 Rauman Lukko week 38
The first two matches of the new season has been played. Lukko started reasonable with one win and one loss. This week Lukko is playing three times. Tomorrow HPK is the opponent in Hämeenlinnä. Last season HPK won the bronze medal by beating Lukko in overtime, 4-3. HPK had a clean start with two wins out of two.
Thursday SaiPa from Lapeenranta will give a visit to Äijänsuo. SaiPa also had a clean start, with a surprising in Turku at TPS Saturday, 3-2.
Than on Saturday, Lukko will travel to Tampere to meet Tappara. Tappara won the first two matches of season by beating Ilves (5-2) and last year champion Kärpät in Oulu (3-2). Jukka Rautakorpi is now coaching at Tampere. Also playing in Tappara is Miika Viinanen, former Lukko centre.
Joni Yli-Torkko is still out with a knee injury. It is not known yet when he will return again.
15.9.2005 Disappointing start for Lukko
Lukko started the new season with a disapponting 2 - 1 loss in Pori against Ässät. Both goals from Ässät were scored by Marko Kivenmäki. Miikka Tuomainen scored the only goal for Lukko. Scott Langkow had 29 saves. More about the match can be found from the match report section.
15.9.2005 SM-league starting today
Rauma is ready for a new season of top ice hockey from the SM-league. Tonight in Pori is Lukko playing its first match of the season against Ässät. Try-out player Tommi Jäminki will start in the fourth line together with Jarkko Kauvosaari and Miikka Tuomainen. Joni Yli-Torkko went today to the doctor for a check-up on his knee. He will not play today.
Tommi Hannus plays his 200th match in the SM-league today. Saturday before the home match against KalPa he will receive a plaque for that achievement.
Tonight will two busses with Lukko fans will leave from Raumanlinna. It is expected that many more will go with own transportation.
In Ässät are playing former Lukko-players Matti Kaipainen and Marko Toivonen.

14.9.2005 Jäminki in the squad on Thursday and Saturday
Tommi Jäminki will be part of the squad on Thursday and Saturday in the matches against Ässät and KalPa. He will play with number 33. Tommi Jäminki is on try-out since last week Wednesday.
12.9.2005 Canal+ brings SM-league live
Canal+ will bring this season live ice hockey on tv. Thursday Canal+ will start with a live coverage of Blues - Kärpät. Canal+ will have live coverages every week on Tuesday and Thursday. Matches from Lukko will be live on Tuesday 20th September (against HPK) and 4th October (against TPS).

10.9.2005 A-juniors victory in Turku
Lukko A-juniors have won their last exhibition match of the pre-season. In Turku, TPS was soundly beaten, 4-0. The boxscores were 1-0, 2-0, 1-0. Goals were scored by Marko Virtala (Jarkko Hattunen, shorthanded) 1-0, Jussi Tapio (Marko Virtala) 2-0, Jarkko Hattunen (Marko Virtala, Jonne Hattunen) 3-0 and Jussi Tapio 4-0.
Jussi Tapio scored against his old teammates. Last year he was playing for TPS.
9.9.2005 Aito Filis on Ice
The fund raising match between RMJ United and Lukko All-Stars ended in an entertaining 8-8 draw. The match counted numerous hilarious moments, like a fight between Shayne Toporowski and Simo Heino. Aito Filis on Ice continued in Domino, where was an auction amongst others. The fund raiser was a succes. In November will be decided where the raised money is going to. 9.9.2005 Season guide for sale
The season guide 2005 - 2006 of Rauman Lukko is out now. The guide can be bought from the Lukko office for the small amount of 10 euros.
9.9.2005 One week try-out for Jäminki
Tommi Jäminki is staying one week on try-out with Lukko. He played yesterday against SaiPa in one line with Jarkko Kauvosaari and Tommi Hannus.
9.9.2005 Lukko wins exhibition match
Lukko won its exhibition match against SaiPa, 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Jamie Wright. The assists were given by Pasi Saarela and Toni Porkka.
