Match report Kärpät-Lukko
Kärpät - Lukko 3 - 2 (1-0, 2-1, 0-1) Stats
Lukko lost its fourth away match in a row. This time it was Finnish Champions Kärpät who were too strong, 3 - 2. It were again the power play situations which destoryed all hopes for Lukko. In the first period it was Lasse Kukkonen who scored 1-0 from a power play. In the second period it was Victor Ujcik who scored 2-1, also a power play goal.
Jamie Wright scored his first goal for Lukko. He scored a shorthanded goal after being sent away by Erik Hämäläinen. Juhamatti Yli-Junnila scored his second goal of the season, in the third period. There was still hope for a at least scoring the equalizer. This hope was three minutes before the end taken away by Shayne Toporowski when he received a 2+2 penalty for high sticking. Scott Langkow was pulled at 59.33, but it would not help Lukko anymore.
Tuesday is the 5th away match of the season against TPS. Hopefully Lukko can finish its bad away result by taking a win from the Elysé Arena.
