Match report TPS-Lukko

TPS - Lukko 2 - 5 (1-3, 0-1, 1-1) Stats

After loosing four matches in a row, Lukko won in Turku from TPS, 5-2. Head coach Jarmo Tolvanen made some necessary line changes after the weak performance of Thursday. Lammassaari played in the first line, Pasi Saarela had to step back because of weak form.

It did not look like Lukko was going to win. After 1.32, Jämtin scored 1-0 for TPS. But midway through the period, Ondrej Steiner scored his first goal for Lukko, 1-1. Not much later, Jamie Wright scored his fifth goal this month. Before the intermission, Teemu Normio scored 3-1. In the second period Toporowski added a goal, 4-1. In the third period Kai Nurminen scored 4-2, but two minutes after his goal, Ondrej Steiner secured the win with his second goal of the evening (and a power play goal), 5-2.

Lukko was extremely effective tonight. Puurula only had 13 saves, Scott Langkow had 27 saves. Ondrej Steiner played tonight his last match of the try-out contract. It is not known if it will be extended. More news about this is expected coming week.
Pauli Levokari played his first match of the season tonight. He had two assists and one minor penalty.
