Lukko was not able to surprise Tappara and Rautakorpi in Tampere Saturday evening. In a close encounter Tappara scored the only goal in the second period. Teemu Laine scored the rebound after a shot from Pasi Puistola.
Both teams were defending well. Lukko had two 5-on-3 power plays but did not manage to score a goal. Both Tappara goalie Mika Lehto as Scott Langkow had 18 saves.
