The match just started, everybody just took there places and it was 1-0. After 26 seconds Yli-Junnila fired a shot to Neil Little, who could not control the puck, 1-0. Lukko was off to a flying start. Blues never came over it.

After the first goal it was Blues who were desperately looking for the equalizer. A lot of pressure was put on the Lukko defence. It was again Scott Langkow who kept Lukko in the game with some outstanding saves. Midway through the period, Lukko got to play more ice hockey. Blues could not keep up the pressure and they also got some penalties called. At the end of the period Lukko had a 5-on-3 power play situations but even though they had a good scoring chance, Little could not be beaten yet for a second time.

In the second period Lukko played very good ice hockey. Langkow was unbeatable even though Blues tried hard to defeat him. After nine minutes in the second period Teemu Normio scored 2-0. The assists came from Shayne Toporowski and Erik Hämäläinen. It was a well deserved goal for Lukko, simply because they controlled the match.
Six minutes the 3-0 fell behind Little. Hagelberg scored his first goal of the season. The assist was once again from Shayne Toporowski.

The third period showed the same picture as the second period. Blues desperately seeking for the goal, Lukko controlling the match. It was totally done for Blues when Tommi Hannus scored 4-0. He received a fantastic pass from Toporowski, played himself free in the offensive zone, waited a little before Little was out of position and scored a magnificient goal. The second assist was from Joni Yli-Torkko, who again performed well in his second game of the season. The match was played and the only concern was now to give Langkow his second shutout game of the season. Lukko suceeded in that. They grabbed the fifth home win of the season.

Tonight was the best match of the season so far. Although put under heavy pressure in the first period, Lukko managed to stay up and get back in the game. The defense pair are settled now and Langkow found his place. Lukko goes well by it. Now it is only waiting for the first away win.

Next week Saturday Lukko is playing home against last season play off contenders HIFK. The match starts at 17:00.
